Introduction to Underwater Photography

This 2 day course covers the basics of underwater photography. Designed for the novice, all instruction will concentrate on the Nikonos V camera system. Lectures will include information on the techniques used to produce underwater photographs with the standard 35mm lens, macro tubes, and The Nikon Close Up Kit.

The course includes four open water dives. The student will have the opportunity to use a macro photographic system on the first day and use the 35mm lens and Close Up Kit on the second day. The students slides will be processed after each dive and viewed during a critique session. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, the student will be awarded a PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty Certification.

Prerequisites: An entry-level scuba certification and a strong desire to learn.
